Trauma, Stress & Anxiety Relief

Navigate Your Life With Less Fear

Our world is going through a very challenging time, creating new worries and fears just by watching the news.  If you have had traumatic events or situations in the past, this environment may be hitting you harder than most.  You may have tried self-help books or videos, yoga or mediation, which are all fantastic!  Sometimes you just need to go a little deeper. Unless you reduce the emotion attached to the triggering events, these other self-help techniques may not be as useful as originally hoped.  Traditional talk therapy can sometimes actually re-traumatize by reliving the event.

One highly effective option for stress, anxiety or trauma is hypnosis. A number of studies have recently come out showing the help that hypnosis can provide when treating these challenges.

The 2009 study published in the journal Bulletin de la Societe des Sciences Medicales du Grand Duche de Luxembourg found that patients treated with a blend of Ericksonian Hypnosis and EMDR techniques showed a marked decrease of PTSD symptoms than those patients treated by more traditional methods. Part of these results may also be linked to an early diagnosis of trauma by their primary care physician.

Traumas may have created harmful memories, attitudes and beliefs within your subconscious mind that can seriously impair your ability to lead a healthy, positive, thriving existence.  You are not broken, you don't need to be fixed.  You need to learn coping skills to improve your life and become resilient instead of triggered.  You will learn self-hypnosis, breathing techniques, guided imagery and more to equip you to take control and live your best life.

Once we deal with it on the subconscious level through hypnosis it will no longer dominate you. By utilizing specific hypnotic techniques, we can reduce its power over you, while at the same time you will be able to keep what has been learned from it. For example, you will be able to protect yourself by recognizing certain unhealthy situations.  You’ll be able to deal with people and situations in life in a safer manner. If we were just to erase the memory, that could make you vulnerable to the same situations in the future.  You will keep the knowledge to you learned from it and have new tools to be more cautious in the future.

Many people don’t tell anyone what has happened to them. You may have hesitated to deal with a trauma professionally because you are not comfortable letting others know what happened to you. Fortunately, one of the most sophisticated aspects of hypnosis for trauma relief is our ability to process the event without knowing all the details about it. This is called content-free processing.

How Hypnosis Can Help You Relieve Stress, Trauma or Anxiety

Understandably, individuals shy away from having to relive their traumatic event, which would involve re-experiencing the hurt and emotional pain it originally caused them at the time. For sufferers, you don’t have to worry, we have specific techniques to allow you to access your past trauma without having to re-experience all the pain, hurt and suffering you may have experienced at the time.  I do not use regression techniques, rather we will look forward and disassociate the pain from the trigger. You are going to surprised at how much more comfortable than you imagined you will be during your session.
